The Complete List of Nominees for the BRIT Awards 2024 Is Here!

The announcement of this year’s nominees has ratcheted up the excitement for the 2024 BRIT Awards, which are shaping up to be an unprecedented honouring of British music. At the BRITs, which have been going strong since 1977, RAYE has broken new ground with an unprecedented seven nominations, a significant milestone in the event’s history.

Nominations for RAYE’s outstanding work in the music industry include honors such as Artist of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year, demonstrating her immense influence and achievements. Notable performers like Gorillaz, Craig David, and Robbie Williams previously held the record with six nominations, but this accomplishment beats them all.

“Bring on The BRITs with Mastercard: The 2024 Nominations” was a 30-minute special that the BRITs streamed on their official Facebook and Instagram accounts. It was an exciting moment of revelation. The program, hosted by Yinka Bokinni and Jack Saunders, included performances by nominees and took viewers on an exciting journey through the shortlists for each category.

The music business has made great strides in promoting diversity and inclusion; moreover, 55% of the nominees this year are female, either performing alone or as part of an all-female group.

An increase from five to 10 nominees is one of the most notable modifications to the Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year categories. A larger effort to increase diversity and inclusion in the awards includes this change.

With three nominations under her belt, Dua Lipa is sure to be a memorable evening when she takes the stage as the first performer at the main event. Among the many nominees for the BRITs, Central Cee and J Hus stand out with four nods apiece.

The variety of musical styles heard in the UK has been recognized with the addition of a new genre award category for R&B Act. With this new category joining others like Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Pop Act, and Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, the diverse musical landscape of Britain is brought to center stage.

The event was elevated to legendary status with the unexpected nomination of The Rolling Stones for a BRIT award, after more than a decade. Notable nominees also include Young Fathers, Little Simz, Blur, Calvin Harris, Dave, and Olivia Dean, who are all up for three awards apiece.

At The BRIT Awards with Mastercard on 2nd March at The O2 stadium, the winners will be revealed. The trophies, created by visual artist Rachel Jones, will be presented during the ceremony. The broadcast of the ceremony will be live on ITV1 and ITVX. Beginning on February 1st, fans will be able to cast their votes for the genre awards on Instagram.

The 2024 BRIT Awards, which will honor both well-known and up-and-coming artists in Britain’s music industry, are shaping up to be a historic occasion, what with record-breaking nominations, new categories, and the presence of iconic bands.
